In observance of Thanksgiving, All City offices will be closed.  The Garbage schedule for the week will be as follows:

Monday - Monday's Route

Tuesday - Tuesday's Route

Wednesday - Wednesday & Thursday's Route

Thursday - Closed

Friday - Closed

Notice is hereby given that on November 8, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., the Daleville Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at the Daleville City Hall Council Room #740 S. Daleville Ave. To consider Rezoning an area from M-1 M-2, R-75S to AGR-2 (SEE ATTACHED MAP)

The purpose of the public hearing is to allow the citizens of Daleville to express their views on the proposed Rezoning.

In observance of Columbus, All City offices will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2023.

The Garbage schedule for the week will be as follows:

Tuesday Route - Wednesday

Wednesday Route- Thursday

Thursday Route - Friday

Trick or Treating will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. We would love to see everyone supporting this age-old tradition. There will also be Trunk or Treating available at a few select locations around Daleville. Stay safe and enjoy!

The first Daleville City Council meeting for July was scheduled for July 4, 2023, and has been rescheduled for July 5, 2023, at 5:30 pm at City Hall

RESOLUTION 08-15-2023

RESOLUTION ADOPTING TRANSPORTATION PLAN PURSUANT

 TO THE REBUILD ALABAMA ACT (ACT 2019-2)

WHEREAS, the 2019 Alabama Legislature has passed an HB2 to levy additional excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Daleville is to receive a portion of said tax based on the ratio of population of each municipality to the total population of all municipalities of the state; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Daleville pledges to keep this money in separate funds and expend only for maintenance, improvement, replacement and construction of roads and as mandated by the law passed; and,

WHEREAS, the Act provides that the City of Daleville shall adopt an annual Transportation Plan no later than August 31st for the fiscal year 2024 based on an estimate of revenues.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Daleville estimates that its anticipated allocation from the Rebuild Alabama Act fund for the Fiscal Year 2024 will be approximately $51,344.00 to be used for street maintenance, improvement, replacement and construction of roads within the City of

Daleville, with the increasing allocations for each fiscal year thereafter.

PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Daleville Alabama, this the 15th day of August 2023.

For the safety of our employees and citizens, the City of Daleville will not be open for business on January 9, 2024, due to the severe weather in our area.  The trash schedule will run one day behind. If you have an emergency, please call 911 for all non-emergencies; please call 334-598-4442. Thank you for understanding.

The City of Daleville has issued a burn ban in effect until further notice.

The bans apply to all open-air burning, including leaf and woody debris, construction burning, campfires, and other fire activity inside Daleville City limits, where local ordinances apply.

The remodel of the Culpepper Park concession stand will begin this week!  The concession stand area will be closed to the public during this time.

The playground and outer walking trail will remain open. Please be cautious and aware of workers and equipment coming in and out of the north side of the ballfields. Thank you.

If you would like to get more involved in decisions made in the city, there are two alternate positions available for the Board of Adjustments and two positions for the Redevelopment Authority available. Just contact City Hall for more information on how to become more involved!

The City of Daleville will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, 5:30 p.m. at Daleville City Hall located at 740 South Daleville Avenue to discuss the city's submission of an application for the 2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
