Senior Center holds fundraising Christmas market
The Daleville Senior Center is holding its annual Christmas market to raise money for members' activities, trips and more."It's become one of our biggest fundraisers of the year," Senior Center Director Laura Leger said. "They put a lot of effort into it."The center will also hold a giveaway for some of the quilts found at the market, which is open every Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the senior center or from center members.Tickets are $2, and the winners will be announced on Dec. 15.According to Leger, all money made during the Christmas market will go back to the senior center's crafting account. This money will be used to purchase supplies for crafts, and help fund activities and trips for the seniors. Most of the items found in the market were made by the members themselves, including wall decorations, ornaments and blankets. For more information about the Christmas market, contact the Daleville Senior Center at (334) 598-9197.
