NOTICE OF FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT

City of Daleville

Post Office Box 188

Daleville, Alabama 36322

334-598-2345

TO ALL INTERESTED AGENCIES, GROUPS AND PERSONS:

FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT

On or about January 20, 2015, the City of Daleville conducted an environmental assessment as part of the conversion process through the United States National Park Service Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.

The proposed project is to remove two ball fields from Daleville Community Park and build two additional ball fields at R.A. Culpepper Park.  Daleville Community Park is located at 151 Hershel Windham Drive and R. A. Culpepper Park is located on Alabama Highway 85.

The City of Daleville has determined that the project will have no significant impact on the human environment.  Therefore, an Environmental Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) is not required.  Additional project information is contained in the Environmental Review Record (ERR) on file at Daleville City Hall at 740 South Daleville Avenue and may be examined or copied weekdays 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Any individual, group, or agency disagreeing with this determination or wishing to submit comment on the project may submit written comments on the ERR to the City of Daleville, Mayor’s Office, Post Office Box 188, Daleville, Alabama 36322.  All comments received by February 20, 2015 will be considered by the City of Daleville prior to authorizing submission of the proposed conversion to the United States National Park Service.

The City of Daleville certifies to the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) that Claudia Wigglesworth, in her capacity as Mayor of the City of Daleville, consents to accept jurisdiction of the Federal Courts if an action is brought to enforce responsibilities in relation to the environmental review process and that these responsibilities have been satisfied.  ADECA’s approval of the certification satisfies its responsibilities under NEPA and related laws and authorities.

Claudia Wigglesworth, Mayor

City of Daleville
