The Daleville Recreation Department offers year round sports for kids. Youth sports
activity and the glory of childhood years are good ways to build character habits that
can carry over and pay good citizenship dividends in adult years. Listed below are 10
good reasons why participation in youth sports activities can be translated into
character components.
Self Reliance - Do it yourself.
Self Control - Keep a cool head.
Perseverance - Keep plugging.
Promptness - Do it now.
Tolerance - Keep up the spirit.
Leadership - Set an example
Enthusiasm - Keep up the spirit.
Respect - Play the rules.
Obedience - Obey the coach.
Ambition - Have a hero as a guide.
