  Daleville Rescue Squad is a section of the Department of Public Safety (DPS). The

  Rescue Squad is a volunteer organization staffed by DPS Employees, city

  employees, and volunteers from the community. The manning of the squad varies

  between 35 and 40 personnel to include 8 licensed Emergency Medical

  Technicians (EMT's) and over 20 licensed Ambulance Drivers. Daleville Rescue

  Squad provides 24 hour a day / 7 days a week, Basic Life Support (BLS) rescue

  and ambulance service within the city and the police jurisdiction. For administrative

  The Daleville Rescue Squad has the following equipped vehicles:

Ambulance 226 2003 Ford E350 Type II Ambulance equipped with BLS equipment to include oxygen, suction, automated external defibrillator (AED), pulse oximeter, spinal immobilization equipment, splints, and numerous medical supplies. This ambulance is designated for trauma emergencies.
Rescue 227 1990 Mazda Pickup Rescue Truck equipped with tools and equipment for Vehicle Extrication. Included on this vehicle is a PowerHawk Rescue Tool as called the Jaws of Life. This truck is used primarily to assist in the removal of patients from vehicles involved in accidents.
Ambulance 228 1997 Ford E350 Type II Ambulance equipped with BLS equipment to include oxygen, suction, automated external defibrillator (AED), pulse oximeter, spinal immobilization equipment, splints, and numerous medical supplies. This ambulance is designated for medical emergencies.
Ambulance 229 1989 Ford E350 Type III Ambulance equipped with BLS equipment to include oxygen, suction, automated external defibrillator (AED), pulse oximeter, spinal immobilization equipment, splints, and numerous medical supplies. Additionally it carries mass casualty equipment and extra stocks of medical and trauma supplies.
