City Hall Open House
Greetings!   The City of Daleville is holding an open house to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the City Hall.  A brief ceremony to recognize the Sansbury family for providing the property upon which the Public Safety Building, City Hall and Daleville Cultural and Convention Center were built will take place on May 23, 2016 at 1:30p.m.   The City Hall will be open as usual from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday May 23d.  Refreshments and city information packets will be available all day. All members of the community are encouraged to come at their own convenience to enjoy getting to know the history of the city; share ideas about the future of the city; and, obtain information about the city’s participation in the Alabama Bicentennial.   Please join us!   Claudia Wigglesworth Mayor

Public Hearing for 2016 CDBG Program
The City of Daleville will sponsor a public hearing on May 19, 2016, 4:30pm at City Hall to discuss the submission of an application for the 2016 Community Development Block Grant program.  The city is interested in obtaining all citizens' input on community development needs.  The city needs as much local participation as [possible in order to reflect the true desire of the community as a whole, as well as the comments relating to the proposed project application.  The State has established a maximum application request for each funding category.  Activities that are eligible for funding include the improvement of public works, public facilities, housing rehabilitation, and others allowed by law.  At least 51% of the funds must be used to benefit low- and moderate-income persons.  No displacement of persons will be proposed. The city is proposing to construct water, drainage, and street improvements.  This project will benefit areas in Battle Part Estates (Patton Dr., Stillwell Dr., McArthur Dr., and Clark St.) and Morris Byrd Subdivision (Marnette Dr., Vita St., and Myrtle St.).  The project, if funded, will benefit a majority of low and moderate income residents.  All citizens, including those in the targeted area, are encouraged to attend in order to comment on the proposed activities.For more information, or if you require special accommodations at  the hearing, contact City of Daleville at 334-598-2345.
