The class is being offered free to ladies age 21 and up and is limited to 20 participants.All participants must bring their own firearm(s), ammunition and eyewear.The last date to sign up for the class is May 6 unless the class is not filled. If spots are available then the sign-up will continue until it is full or the class date, whichever comes first. If a waiting list is developed then a second class will be scheduled, said Mansfield, adding that if the weather is inclement on the class date, the re-schedule date is May 28.Class will begin at 8 a.m. and last until noon at the city’s training facility, which is located just outside the Enterprise/Fort Rucker gate, off Rucker Boulevard.  See article on this website for more details.  For more information  and to sign up, call the DDPS at (334) 598-4442.

The Daleville mayor’s office will host a public information session regarding plans for Alabama’s bicentennial commemoration on Wednesday, April 27th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Daleville Cultural and Convention Center. The program is free and open to everyone interested.

Attention amateur athletes: State games coming soon to Daleville and surrounding areas
In June, thousands of athletes will converge on the Wiregrass area and at least part of them and spectators will make their way to Daleville and Fort Rucker to participate in the Alabama State Games. The games are touted as the state’s largest annual multi-sport athletic event.
