Spring and summer are synonymous with mosquito season in the South. Because of mosquito-born diseases residents must be more vigilant in both preventing bites and breeding grounds for the insect.

National Night Out
National Night Out (NNO) is a unique group of crime and drug prevention events in cooperation with the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).  The campaign involves citizens, civic groups, businesses, law enforcement agencies, neighborhood organizations and local officials from all 50 states, US territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.   National Night Out in Daleville will have several exhibits such as: Fort Rucker Police, Dale County Sheriff’s Office, Daleville Police, Fire and Rescue Vehicles, Alabama State Troopers, Children’s Inflatables, Wet Slides, and free ice pops.

Daleville Farmer's Market now open
On Thursday, June 2, the Daleville Farmer's Market opened to the public.The market will be open every Thursday from 2-5 p.m. in the lot across from Bojangles until July 28, or for about nine weeks, according to Chamber of Commerce Director Nancy Garner.

The Daleville Baptist Church F.A.I.T.H. Riders Ministry will be hosting its fourth annual God and Country Benefit Ride onSaturday, June 25. This ride will benefit the the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home and the Disabled Veterans of America. Ridedonations are $15, or more if desired, and registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. in the Daleville Baptist Church parking lot at 100Donnell Boulevard in Daleville. The ride will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is usually completed by 12-12:30 p.m., at which time therewill be food and refreshmentsat the DalevilleBaptist Church Fellowship Hall.
