Emergency ‘No Burn’ lifted statewide
 Gov. Robert Bentley and Interim State Forester Gary Cole rescinded the statewide drought emergency “No Burn” order that has been in effect since early November.On Monday, Dec. 5, officials with the Alabama Forestry Commission said the state has received enough rainfall over the last few days to reduce the threat of dangerous wildfires.

Daleville Sr. Center expands service area to unserved neighboring towns
“For as long as I've worked here, going on nine years, we have always served the citizens of Daleville as well as the outskirts of Clayhatchee and Level Plains. It was decided by our former mayor, Claudia Wigglesworth that as of Oct. 1, 2014 we would only serve the Daleville senior citizens that resided in the city limits,” stated Laura Leger, director of senior services in the city.

Like any school year, the 2016-2017 is no different with hundreds of students from Daleville High School participating in the Pride of the South Marching Band and the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps programs. Many of those also participate in competitive athletics as well.
