At an Aug. 18 political forum the subject of food quality at Windham Elementary School was brought up by a candidate for mayor. Specifically, the complaint alleged was in regards to food being served to WES students cold, after being transported from Daleville High School where food is prepared.

Seven out of 10 contractors submitted bids Aug. 25 for the chance to build two new ball fields inside Daleville’s ever-expanding Culpepper Park.Six of the seven bidders were on hand at the official bid opening at city hall. Bidding contractors were Arrington Curb and Excavation of Flomaton; Earth-Scapes, Inc., of Phenix City; Gencon Associates, Inc., of Dothan; Grady Ralls and Sons, Inc., of Evergreen; Midsouth Paving, Inc., of Dothan; Moody Contracting, Inc., of Opp; and S.A. Graham Company, Inc., of Brundidge.
