Daleville Chamber launches first business directory

It was created as a convenient and alternative way to showcase all that the city has to offer.While the trend toward digital communications is growing, the chamber officials said they wanted to create a complementary “hard copy” publication that showcases Daleville businesses and the city services available. “We are a hidden treasure here especially with all the restaurants,” Carmichael said.The guide includes city demographics, city services contact information, elected officials and a directory of all the Daleville area chamber members. The guide promotes the Daleville Public Library with more than 20,000 books, the Daleville Cultural and Convention Center and Choctawpoochie Dog Park, one of the first dog parks in the Wiregrass.“There is a lot going on in Daleville,” Carmichael said, adding that the guide is distributed to new soldiers at Fort Rucker attending the monthly Welcome Briefing on post. “What we really wanted to do is have a convenient way of letting people know much we have to offer here, right outside the gate to Fort Rucker.”Carmichael said creation of the guide was a team effort. The chamber sold ads to the businesses allowing them the opportunity to showcase their hours and services.Derek Weeks Photography in Enterprise photographed scenes around Daleville for the guide and Print Resources did the printing. “We will do another one next year,” said Drown, adding that those interested in participating can contact the chamber for more information. “This is just a convenient guide you can hand to somebody to keep that showcases what’s available in Daleville.”Those interested in obtaining copies of the guide can contact the chamber at (334) 598-6331 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
