New banners wave over the ‘City of Possibilities’
The 30-inch by 80-inch banners complement the city’s new branding strategy, explained Kat Eubank, assistant to Daleville Mayor Claudia Wigglesworth. At the top of the banners, produced by Enterprise Printing, is the city’s new logo, created by Nick Stakelum of TGICreative. The blue and green on the banner represents the city’s agriculture-based history, which began with the original settlement in the area in 1831 by veterans of the Creek Indian War, Eubank said. The soaring eagle in the logo depicts the city’s strong connection with aviation as well as a symbol of the bright possibilities of the city.Below the city logo on the banner are the words “shop, dine and play,” all things you can do in Daleville, explained Wigglesworth. “The purpose of the banners is to draw attention to all the things that Daleville to offer.”Eubank agreed. “There is a lot going on here,” she said. “If you just drive through the intersections, you’re missing it.”
