DHS prepares for homecoming
"Hawks, What's UP" is the theme for Homecoming 2018 at Daleville High School.Homecoming week will be held Sept. 25-29. The week will be filled with dressing up, skits and football on Friday.The dress up days for the week are:• Monday: Wake Up (Pajama Day… Must follow DHS Dress Code);• Tuesday: Surf’s Up (Hawaiian Day);• Wednesday: Grow Up (Dress as yourself in 50 years);• Thursday: Match Up (Twin Day); and,• Friday: Pump Up ( Spirit Day).On Tuesday, Sept. 26, juniors will play against seniors in the Powder Puff game at Warhawk Stadium at 6 p.m.On Thursday, Sept. 28, homecoming will be celebrated by a parade at 5:30 p.m. The parade will begin at Windham Elementary School and end at DHS.The DHS SGA invites all school, civic and church organizations to participate in the Homecoming festivities.Entry forms for the parade can be picked up at DHS, WES or the Billy Adkins Community Center. All forms should be turned into Angelia Fulford or the DHS front office by Tuesday, Sept. 26.For any questions or concerns, contact Principal Joshua Robertson or Homecoming Coordinator Angelia Fulford at (334) 598-4461 or fulforda@daleville.k12.al.us.A city wide pep rally will follow the parade at DHS.On Friday, Sept. 29, a school pep rally will be held in the DHS gym at 8:30 a.m. Later that day, from 4-6:30 p.m., an SGA-sponsored tailgate party will be held at the DHS Band Field.The Homecoming Court Coronation ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Warhawk Stadium.The DHS Warhawks will play the Elba Tigers in the stadium at 7 p.m.The homecoming dance will be held in the DHS gym following the game. It is expected to begin at 9 p.m. and end at midnight.
