Daleville 911 Service

Daleville and Clayhatchee are served by an enhanced 911 system collocated with

the Daleville Department of Public Safety located at 730 South Daleville Avenue.

For administrative of non-emergency services please call (334) 598-4442, 4443,

  4444.

The 911 dispatcher will not provide non-emergency assistance, over the 911

system, but will refer them to one of the non-emergency phone numbers. An

enhanced 911 system is one that is capable of providing caller location and limited

medical information, on the caller, to the dispatcher even if the caller is

unconscious or otherwise incapacitated. It must be understood that while you can

make 911 calls from a cell phone or voice over IP internet protocol (VOIP), the

dispatcher WILL NOT ALWAYS receive caller location or medical information and

will in most cases be unable to assist callers who, for any reason, are unable to

  speak.

The dispatch center is manned 24/7 by highly qualified personnel. Since Daleville

has a Department of Public Safety (DPS), we have control of, not only, the

enhanced 911 center but all of the Police, Fire, and Rescue units. Through mutual

aid agreements we have access to the resources of all of our neighboring agencies

and communities. With this level of coverage resources, that exceed our internal

ones, are at all times available. The City Ordinance regarding the addressing of

house and property will make the identification easier for emergency responders.

This should significantly reduce the response time of all resources.
